With renewable power sources and new topology structures being widely introduced into the system, current local information-based generation-side protection cannot fully guarantee performance safety coordination with grid. This paper proposes an improved hierarchical system on generation-side. The proposed takes advantage of fusion multi-information provided by station layers. layer provides information such as voltage control regulation demand, so that can adapt to operation mode demand. realizes principle action strategy among related units through interaction grid, automatic protection. introduces condition monitoring more abundant enhance master generation units’ condition. To illustrate construction method actual application mode, fusion-based comprehensive multi-generators are taken examples. Case analysis shows methods reflect slight internal fault forms adaptively determine characteristic tripping according operating conditions other generators’ conditions, which effectively improve sensitivity capability. provide reference inspiration for follow-up research, communication technology research approaches further pointed out.
